My Thoughts On Growth Mindset

Image
Growth Mindset I have just watched the Carol Dweck videos about growth mindset and am very interested in what she had to say. This was my first time coming across Carol Dweck but I enjoyed listening to her and will be doing further research on her by listening to more of her talks. She was very informative and her voice was very easy to listen to.  After watching the videos I thought about where I would be on the spectrum of growth-fixed mindset. I thought back to when I was in school and realised I had a very fixed mindset. I was afraid of getting things wrong and I never done any extra study when I knew I understood something. Whatever I was learning was the most of my ability and I did not further my intelligence. But, this has changed since starting college. Now I understand that the more I learn the more I grow. I am not afraid to try new things and make mistakes because I know I will always learn from my mistakes.  This made me think about how schools today really do reward intel

Introduction to Zoe

An Introduction To Me  My name is Zoe Taylor. I am 18 years old....(19 in five days!) and I am a second year student studying Creative Digital Media at TuDublin. (personal image of me) First I want to tell yous about my first year in college. Year1 was difficult but really enjoyable at the same time. I made so many new friends and discovered interest I didn't know I had through the different modules. My favourite module was Visual Creativity. I really enjoy the creative side to this course and that module allowed everyone to be extremely creative.  I was so proud of myself at the end of the year when I passes everything.  My goals for the future include travelling and definitely something in design. I haven't figured out exactly what that is yet but I'm sure I will before the end of the course. But for now I am currently working part time in Life Style Sports. I love my job and have made so many lifelong friends.  When ever I introduce myself I have to introduce my dog Coo

My Favourite Game

My Favourite Game  My favourite game has to be Mario Kart. I think it is a favourite for a lot of people and definitely a family favourite for many years now. I have played this game on a number of devices including the Nindento DS, WII, Switch and 64. The fact you can play it with others and on your own makes it even better.  My favourite character to play as was always Toad. The game is fun and also creates competition. This made me always want to keep playing and invite more people to play with me. I believe Mario Kart will always be my favourite game.                                                        Where to buy Mario Kart for Nintendo Switch
